MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health

Learning Objective at MPH Level: Develop an appropriate knowledge base in the different domains of environmental health sciences, including environmental health, toxicology, and occupational  health. Upon satisfactory completion of the MPH in the Environmental and Occupational Health program, students will be able to characterize major sources of exposure to hazards, characterize mechanisms and processes by which toxic or infectious hazards reach target human populations, assess the risk from exposure to those agents, apply means of preventing or controlling adverse effects of hazards, and communicate effectively with the public and professionals regarding potential public health impacts and mitigation strategies.

Curriculum of  MPH in  Environmental and Occupational Health

MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health is offered with a focus on didactic and research training in toxicology and environmental health, and occupational health.  MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health students are required to complete the School of Public Health and Environmental and Occupational Health Program required courses, capstone courses, and selected elective courses to reach a total of 45 Credits.
