transcripts to the advising appointment.
- If you would like
to talk with a faculty member about a clinical specialty area, call (305)
348-7703
to make an appointment.
Although the faculty member can give you general information about the
admission process, you must make an appointment with the Director of
Admissions and Student Services for advisement related to your application.
- The application file should be completed at least two weeks before
registration. Qualified
applicants will be admitted as either degree-seeking status or
non-degree seeking status students.
- Degree-seeking status students: This category includes students
who have been fully admitted to the MSN Program (does not include the
Certificate programs).
- Non-degree seeking status students:
These students may be in the process of applying for the MSN Program and may
enroll in selected MSN core courses. However, such enrollment must be
approved by the Director for Admissions and Student Services on
registration and must meet specific requirements. Although the
non-degree seeking student may take as many as 12 credits of graduate
courses, there is no guarantee that all credits can be applied toward
graduation requirements if the student changes from non-degree seeking to
degree-seeking status. This category includes all Certificate students.
Refer to the FIU Graduate Catalog for further information on this topic.
- Financial assistance is available to graduate students through
fellowships, assistantships, scholarships, and loans. For general and current
