Catalog Description:
Provides advanced technological
knowledge, skills, and opportunity to develop strategies using
technology to improve and enhance student learning in a variety
of settings. |
Teaching
Methodology:
Lecture/discussion,
audio-visual materials, assigned readings, independent study,
and instructional technology media. |
Course
Objectives:
Upon completion of this
course, the graduate student will be able to:
1. Analyze the research foundations for the development,
implementation, and evaluation of information technologies
to support the teaching-learning process.
2. Incorporate a variety of educational technologies to enhance
student learning in multiple instructional settings, including distance
education.
3. Analyze the relationship between simulation learning
experiences and clinical learning experiences.
4. Determine the best technologies to enhance and evaluate
student’s critical thinking and clinical judgment.
5. Discuss the policies and protocols for distance education.
6. Explore a variety of technological strategies to evaluate
students learning.
7. Support changes as an early adopter of technological
techniques and strategies.
8. Demonstrate competence in the use of two new technological
applications to enhance student learning and/or evaluation

technologies to enhance student learning and evaluation of

Punctual attendance is expected at all
scheduled class sessions. Please turn off, or silence cell phones and
pagers. Students are responsible for course syllabi and outlines and are
expected to complete course and project
assignments as scheduled. Active and knowledgeable class participation is
expected of all students. |

Misconduct includes:
Cheating: The

examination papers or course materials, whether originally authorized or
not.
Plagiarism: The use and
appropriation of another's work without any indication of the source and the
representation of such work as the student's own. Any student, who fails to
give credit for ideas, expressions or materials taken from another source,
including internet sources, is guilty of plagiarism.
Religious Holidays
Religious holidays are an excused absence, but not
beyond the day for the holiday itself. Students should make their requests
known at the beginning of the semester and arrangements must be made with
the faculty member for missed work.
