THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross has been a close collaborator to REACH 2010.  We have worked together during the past years in different activities and strategies to educate the community about HIV and to stimulate prevention.

THE BROWARD HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The Broward County Health Department (BCHD) is a very close collaborator to REACH 2010.  Besides being directly responsible for approving the content of our media campaigns and our written educational material, they have also provided key HIV training to our staff, and they have collaborated with us in numerous HIV/AIDS events such as community forums, roundtable discussions, professional summits, health fairs, among others.

FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Florida International University (FIU) is the Central Coordinating Organization (CCO) for our REACH 2010 project.  Our project works under the direction of the Stempel School of Public Health. Graduate students from the School have been actively involved with our project for the past 5 years. They have served as liaisons between the Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and FIU project staff; they have also participated in the research and evaluation component of REACH 2010.  Their help has been key in planning and implementing community events, outreach activities, education and prevention interventions, among others.
FIU’s Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) has also been a key player in our project.  IPOR has conducted our four Computer Assisted Telephone Surveys (CATI) with more than 8000 respondents to date.
